So check out this tool from Big John.  He calls it the T-Jet Ohm Checker.  Connect your favorite Analog or Digital Multi-Meter to it and it easily gives you resistance measurements of any pancake armature.  Two things set this unit aside from others:

•  It utilizes your own meter.  Let's face it, not all meters are accurate.  There is a big difference between a $3.00 meter and a $300 meter.  If you have a good meter already and demand accuracy, just connect the meter probes to the "T-Jet Ohm Checker", set the meter to read (ohms), place a pancake armature on the unit and rotate it to get each of the three readings on the armature.  If you have one of the less expensive meters purchased from various stores you can use it also.  It will work with any meter equipped with standard probes such as meters bought from your local home and hardware stores, and electrical supply stores.  It is easy to store and is a great aid for race checking armatures for racing competition.
